My Background

After 25 years as an obstetrics nurse, I recently moved to the hospital's outpatient department, which allows me more time to devote to my other love, making jewelry.

This isn't a new love....I actually made and sold leather macrame necklaces when I was in college. (Smile if you remember that art form). I have done stained glass for over 30 years and have taken workshops on interesting topics like fused glass. I think my interests naturally evolved to jewelry because I've always loved wearing jewelry. I started designing and making the style of the jewelry I do now about 9 years ago. That marked the beginning of the constant search for great beads and supplies and for that perfect "something new".

My Design Approach

I believe that jewelry is more than a simple accessory. It is a small piece of nature formed into beautiful adornment. With that in mind, I specifically design each piece to highlight the beauty of its natural materials. You may select a piece already made and pictured or I can custom design an order to your specifications. I can also match a current design to create additional pieces for a set.

I am always open to custom jewelry if you know what you want and I can get the materials. I keep a large selection of gemstones and pearls on hand to select from:  Freshwater pearls in various sizes, shapes and colors, amber, aventurine, agate, garnet, amethyst, carnelian, citrine, coral, chrysoprase, turquoise, onyx, jet, fluorite, moonstone, quartz, mookaite, unakite, tiger eye, tourmaline, lapis, labradorite, chalcedony, serpentine, jasper, bloodstone, zircon, and numerous other gemstones and shell beads, plus I can occasionally get rubies, emeralds and blue sapphire. I incorporate sterling silver and Hill Tribe fine silver (99.7% pure silver) handmade beads, Swarovski crystal and 14 kt. gold filled beads into my designs.

If you want to order something you saw on the website that has sold, please send me an email or give me a call. I'm not planning to duplicate anything exactly but I can usually make something similar. For example, I can make most of the earring styles shown in about any gemstone someone would want to order or any color combination. Please be aware that everything that I make using precious and semi-precious gemstones is one of a kind, if for no other reason than the nature of the materials I use.

I offer free adjustments and repairs on all my jewelry and you may exchange a piece within 10 days of purchase. Since all items vary in cost, due to the difference in expense of materials, I will quote you on each special order when it is placed.
